About Our Music

What does "royalty-free" mean?

Royalty-free means you can use our worship music without paying licensing fees, royalties, or ongoing costs. You can sing, perform, record, and distribute our songs freely for both non-commercial and commercial purposes.

The music remains copyrighted by No Crown Worship, but we release it under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License that grants broad permissions to everyone.

What is No Crown Worship?

No Crown Worship is not a band — we're a worship collective. We're a community of musicians, writers, and worship leaders who collaborate to create and release royalty-free worship music for the global Church.

We exist to serve the Body of Christ by writing modern hymns that are biblically faithful, lyrically rich, and accessible to churches, house fellowships, and worshipers everywhere.

What denominations or traditions is this music for?

No Crown Worship is intentionally ecumenical. We serve Protestant, Catholic, Evangelical, and all Christian traditions. Our songs are biblically faithful and theologically sound, designed to unite worshipers across denominational lines.

Whether you're in a traditional liturgical church, a contemporary evangelical congregation, or a house fellowship, our music is for you.

Are your songs biblically sound?

Yes. Every lyric we write is rooted in Scripture and carefully crafted to reflect biblical truth. We provide biblical foundations documents for each song that explain the scriptural basis, theological themes, and historical context.

Licensing & Usage

Do I need permission to use your songs in worship services?

No. You do not need to contact us or request permission. All our songs are released under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License, which automatically grants you the right to use them.

Simply download and use them freely, with appropriate attribution. See our Licensing & Usage page for details.

Can I record and sell albums with your songs?

Yes. You may record and distribute your own versions commercially, including selling albums, streaming on platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, or using them in paid content.

We only ask that you provide proper attribution (songwriter credit, publisher info) as outlined on our Licensing page.

Can I use your songs on YouTube, Instagram, or live-stream worship?

Yes. You can freely use our songs in videos, live-streams, podcasts, social media content, or any online platform. Attribution in the video description or credits is appreciated.

Are No Crown Worship songs compatible with CCLI licenses?

Our music does not require CCLI, OneLicense, or similar licensing services because it's released under Creative Commons.

However, if your church has a blanket license and wants to report usage for accountability or tracking purposes, you're welcome to do so.

Can I translate your songs into another language?

Yes. You may translate and adapt our songs into any language. We encourage you to share your translations with us (via contact) so we can make them available to others and help expand the global reach of these worship resources.

Can I change the lyrics, melody, or arrangement?

Yes. You may adapt the music, change keys, modify arrangements, or create derivative works. We ask that adaptations remain faithful to biblical truth and the spirit of the original song.

If you make significant changes that alter the theological message, please indicate it as "based on" or "adapted from" the original.

Can I include your songs in a hymnal, songbook, or worship app?

Yes. You may include our songs in printed or digital hymnals, songbooks, apps, or worship resources. Please provide attribution and, if possible, a link to nocrownworship.com so others can find the original resources.

Resources & Downloads

What resources do you provide for each song?

For each song, we provide:

All resources are free to download and use.

Where can I find the lyrics?

Lyrics are included in the chord sheets and biblical foundations documents available on each song's page. You can download them in PDF or DOCX format for free.

What are multitrack stems and how do I use them?

Multitrack stems are individual audio tracks (vocals, guitar, bass, drums, etc.) that allow you to create custom mixes or backing tracks for live worship.

You can import them into a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) like Logic Pro, Ableton Live, GarageBand, or Reaper to adjust levels, add your own instruments, or create click tracks for your worship team.

See our How to Use guide for more details.

Can I transpose the songs to different keys?

Yes. We provide chord sheets in multiple keys (typically F, G, and A major for each song). If you need a different key, the DOCX format can be edited, or you can use free transposition tools.

See our How to Use page for recommended tools.

Do you provide sheet music or notation?

Currently, we provide chord sheets with lyrics. Full sheet music notation is not available yet, but we're considering it for future releases based on community feedback.
